Abstract: Compression garments, which have a higher denier lycra fabric structure that increases strength and durability, will allow stretching without losing compression compared to standard lycra upper and lower garments. The main goal of this work was to study the influence of sport compression garments on sporters performance. For this purpose, a literature review was made and the effects of compression garments on comfort, performance and recovery times of athletes were mentioned. Also, the clothes used in sports branches such as running, skiing and cycling and the studies in this field are explained. As a result, it is thought that more studies will be conducted in this area in the future and these studies will focus on the comfort properties of compression garments as well as performance. In addition, more wear trials should be done regarding the thermal and body movement comfort of compression garments.
