Manuel Jose Lis Arias

BS con Chemical Engineering in EUETIT (UPC), and MSc on Textile Engineering (ETSEIAAT-UPC) and PhD on Industrial Engineering (INTEXTER-UPC).
Since 1984, teaching Chemical Engineering Degree in ESEIAAT-UPC in subjects related with Chemical Reaction Engineering, Mass transport Phenomena, Industrial Chemistry and Physical-Chemistry. Has participated in the docencyon the Biotechnology Master on ETSEIB-UPC, as well as in the Textile Technology Master in ESEIAAT-UPC.
Associate Professor on Chemical Engineering and Researcher in INTEXTER-UPC, he has coordinated more than 100 BSc, MSc and PhD thesis, and authored more than 100 articles in national and International magazines. Post-doctoral stage in Twente University (Netherlands) under the supervision of Prof MarijinWarmoeskerken in transport phenomena influencing the textile processes.
He has developed several directive functions as Assistant Director of EUETIT, as Head of Studies and as International Relationship. Head of the Textile Department, Assistant-Principal in Docency and External Relations, as well as Assistant Director of INTEXTER-UPC.
Head of the Surface Science Laboratory of INTEXTER, his research is focused on the colloidal systems for to be applied in textile substrates, in biofunctional textiles and in the microencapsulation of active principles.
Member of the AOCS (EEUU), The Textile Institute (UK), FLAQCT (Latineamerica) and AEQCT (Spain), belonging to the Directive staff of this former institution.
Member of Different Editorial Boards of magazines, as Pharmaceutics, Drug-Delivery Letters, World Journal of Textile Engineering and Technology, etc… and frequent reviewer of magazines registered on Publons.
Collaborates in Research with different Universities as Santa Caterina and Technological of Parana in Brasil, Boras University in Sweden, as well as with the University of Shaoxing in China.
